About the Role
The purpose of the UX/UI Designer is to help PetDesk users accomplish their goals with an elegant and appropriate UX. For vet clinic customers, this means making the PetDesk dashboard useful and intuitive as we add features. For consumer app users, this means a sticky and retention-focused UX. The UX/UI Designer will work with and advise our product managers, engineering team, and CEO on direction and improvements.
Translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, creating beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.
Deliver design solutions that satisfy business goals.
Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to 1) to define elegant user experiences for our web-based and mobile applications and 2) prototype and ship functional and beautiful improvements to the products.
Frame the users’ motivations and needs in each step of their journey, and create design solutions that are appropriate for each step.
Assist in creating a product roadmap based on user research.
Effectively communicate interaction and design ideas with wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, site maps, or other tools.
Conduct and analyze user testing to validate assumptions and designs.
Collaborate with engineers to clarify design concepts and ensure design standards are maintained in implementation.
5+ years of professional UX/UI design experience, with an emphasis on product & interaction design for SaaS and mobile.
Experienced in carefully designing technology solutions that incorporate user context.
Ability to seamlessly switch from conceptual design to production.
Profound UI design skills with a solid portfolio of design projects.
